Anil is a communication expert, specialising in messaging and storytelling. He has worked as a journalist and producer, occupying a variety of senior roles across television, online news, and radio. He has worked as an advisor and communications consultant to peak bodies, corporates, member-based organisations, policy think tanks, super funds, politicians, and health advocacy organisations.
Anil has written and placed hundreds of op-eds, papers, and speeches for his clients, many of which have had a serious impact on the national debate. He has directed multi-channel campaigns, and assists in framing, preparing, and landing news stories and media appearances on behalf of his clients.
NICK LUCCHINELLI (SYD)
Nick is a communication expert who specialises in media relations, crisis communication, narrative framing, and message development. Nick has consulted to dozens of Australian and international organisations. He has launched successful campaigns into the public domain, and also managed communication through crises and conflicts such as judicial inquiries, intense industrial disputes, and leadership change.
Nick began his career working with the ABC and AAP, reporting on politics and business and also serving as a newsreader, and executive producer. He has recently worked at the Geneva-based Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, coordinating global communication efforts.
SUZE METHERELL (MEL)
Suze is a communications expert, specialising in issue and crisis management, long-form writing, and project management. She consults to Australian and international bodies, including member-based organisations, corporates, advocacy groups, and not-for-profits. Suze has assisted her clients navigate intense media scrutiny, develop specialist reports, launch national campaigns, and manage daily enquiries. She has worked as a journalist in New Zealand and the UK, including reporting from AAP’s London bureau, where her assignments included covering terror attacks in Barcelona, memorials in Brussels, and the Cannes Film Festival.
TAYLAH HILL (SYD)
Taylah is a communication expert who has worked as a news producer across television and radio. She is an outstanding writer with a comprehensive understanding of the news cycle and the audiences media outlets strive to reach. She has worked for Seven News, 2GB and Sky News running campaigns, organising and co-ordinating live and special coverage, writing and producing bulletins and building strong relationships with high-profile stakeholders. She prides herself on her attention to detail and successfully engaging audiences.
BRONWEN REED (SYD)
Bronwen is a highly experienced media and communications professional, specialising in media liaison, writing and crisis management. In a journalism career spanning over 25 years, she has been a writer, producer, and director. As a senior producer with ABC TV’s Foreign Correspondent she led teams in tough conditions, managing complicated and challenging projects under extreme deadline pressure. She is a creative thinker, with a strong track record of developing and producing original and compelling content across multiple channels. Prior to working with Horton Advisory, she was the Assistant Director of Media and Communications with the Disability Royal Commission.
LEVI JOULE (SYD)
Levi is a communications and policy specialist who has worked across a number of Trans Tasman newsrooms and was the former editor of New Zealand’s only LGBTIQ publication. He has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in political studies from the University of Auckland. Levi has strong digital and social media skills and understands what is needed to perfectly tailor a message for an online audience, in order to deliver high levels of engagement. He has a strong knowledge of domestic and international policy and an extensive history working in politics across New Zealand and Australia, including as a media advisor in the Australian Federal Parliament.
TIM BRUNERO (SYD)
Tim is a communication expert specialising in media liaison, specialist writing, and media training. He has presented ABC radio programs in nearly every state and territory across Australia, including ABC Sydney, hosting Nightlife & Summer Drive. Tim uses his decades of experience in broadcast and print journalism to turn complex policy positions into compelling, human stories. He began his career in print, as a reporter with The Australian and The Daily Telegraph.
MARK SOUTHCOTT (SYD)
Mark is a senior journalist with more than 30 years’ experience in city and national newsrooms. He has been a writer, news producer and section editor in a wide variety of roles for newspapers including The Australian, where he was most recently production editor on the business, travel and arts pages, and the The Illawarra Mercury. Mark’s extensive professional and life experiences, including a trade background, help him create bright, interesting and complex stories on just about any topic, quickly and accurately, for in-house publications or the wider media market.
RÉMI BIANCHI (SYD)
Rémi is an award-winning graphic designer and illustrator who has worked in the Australian news media for nearly three decades. A former graphics editor for The Sydney Morning Herald, he specialises in information design and visual journalism. Rémi co-founded and designed Australia’s national newspaper for kids, Crinkling News.
